Shoe Babou was born in 1995 when Manon created a pair of blue suede shoes for her friend’s newborn girl, Rowan. What began as a whimsical gift has grown into a highly successful enterprise that marries meticulous design with a playful approach to children’s wear. Each piece is hand-made by Manon De Gagné. Her passion for textures, shapes and colours have found a home in Shoe Babou and continue to provide inspiration.

Born in Montreal, Manon De Gagné has lived and worked in Toronto since 1991.
